The College of Electrical Training, along with NECA WA and Electrical Group Training, won the WA Industry Collaboration Award at the WA Training Awards, held on Friday 13th September 2019.
After successfully implementing and running the Electrical Industry Female Participation Program (EIFPP) – this award recognises the hard work of our team and their efforts to highlight the career opportunities for females and to reduce barriers for them obtaining an apprenticeship.
The program provides a structured career pathway into the electrical industry, promotes the electrical industry as ‘gender-neutral’, and delivers a training experience aimed at giving students the best possible chance of employment.
As CET General Manager, Steve Hall, highlights, ‘We thank our partners, NECA WA, EGT, Bon Electrics and Williams Electrical, as well as the wonderful students! Without them, the award wouldn’t have been possible. This award now provides a further platform for us to advocate for additional funding and incentives to encourage not only school leavers, but career changers to enter our trade’.
Our courses include electrical pre apprenticeship, electrical apprenticeship and traineeships in addition to post trade training for electrical and telecommunications workers. We also offer training to the general public as well as customised training to suit your needs. For a full list of courses on offer please check course selection.
