On Saturday 22 June 2019, CET’s Joondalup and Jandakot campuses welcomed hundreds of students, their families, electricians and contractors to find out about CET’s extensive range of expert electrical and telecommunications pre-apprenticeship and post-trade courses at the annual Open Day.
Getting bigger every year, this event is always an ideal opportunity for high school students considering a career in the electrical industry to find out more about studying to gain an electrical apprenticeship pathway at CET.
Feedback this year indicates that attendees value the unique opportunity to speak with representatives from CET, Electrical Group Training and the Apprenticeship Community all on the same day, making decisions about their future apprenticeship pathway much clearer - and the free sausage sizzle and coffee van were popular once again!
Guests enjoyed touring CET’s innovative training facilities and learning environment and were impressed with the amount and quality of equipment that CET has on site, including their state of the art bottling plant simulator (the only one of its kind in Australia) that’s fully PLC controlled, providing students with experience operating the type of equipment that’s used in industry.
Gold sponsor Milwaukee set up their state-of-the-art van at the Jandakot campus and were popular amongst attendees who enjoyed checking out the latest tools.
Thanks to everyone that came this year - hope to see even more prospective and current students in 2020!
