The WorldSkills Australia Regional Competition for Electrical Installation will be held on Thursday, 3 August 2017. CET will be running the competition at both the Joondalup and Jandakot campuses from 8:00am to 5:30pm on the day.
If you are a young electrical apprentice or have recently qualified then this competition offers you the chance to pit your skills against others in your field for a gold, silver or bronze medal. Winners across the state may be offered the chance to represent Western Australia at the WorldSkills Australia National Competition in Sydney next year as members of TeamWA.
Eligible winners from the National Competition may be selected to compete in the International Competition, which will be held in Kazan, Russia in 2019.
The competition will be a six-hour project, broken into tasks that will test your practical skills against the clock. The only eligibility for entering is age: all competitors must be born on or after 1 January 1994 to be young enough to compete.
