Top 10 Reasons To Attend CET

1. Gain an accredited qualification

Since CET was founded in 1996, we have trained over 20,000 apprentices and to date are training approximately 50% of all Western Australian electrical apprentices. Over the past 20+ years, we have established ourselves as a reputable and flexible training provider for anyone wanting to learn the electrical trade, or simply up-skill themselves.

2. Course enrolment is up to you

Over the past 20+ years, we have evolved into a flexible training provider for anyone wanting to learn the electrical trade. Our flexibility comes from being able to offer a rolling course intake, meaning you’re able to start your apprenticeship at any time of the year!

3. Convenient locations - North & South side of the river

CET has two campus locations, Joondalup and Jandakot, which are both easily accessible by public transport. Both campuses boast state of the art training facilities and equipment  - ensuring students are well trained amongst modern settings.

4. We use the latest tech and equipment

Our campuses are fitted with interactive projection equipment and latest technology. Our Joondalup campus boasts three classrooms, six workshops, ten laboratories, and a sixty seat auditorium. It is the first electrical blended training centre of its kind in WA.

5. We’re supportive

Students can also access our learning portal to assist in their development, and we cater for flexible block and day release programs to fit working rosters.

6. Worry-free funding provided

CET attracts CTF (Construction Training Fund) government funding, so that you can focus on building your skills and worry less about the financial side of things.

7. We’ve earned our credentials

Our high standard of education and training has been recognised both nationally and at a State level. In 2014 CET was awarded the WA Large Training Provider of the Year. We’ve also been awarded the Institute of Trade Skills Excellence (ITSE) top three-star rating.

8. End to end training

We offer an end-to-end training solution for all students. Meaning we will take you from Pre-Apprenticeship to Apprenticeship, and teach you how to run your own business with our Contractors Course. All whilst continuing to up-skill you as industry changes occur within the constantly evolving solar and communications sectors.

9. Always in the loop

Our close relationship to the industry within Western Australia keeps us informed and up to date with the ever-changing industry trends and needs.

10. Training to the general public

We also offer training to the general public and customised training to suit your needs that can extend to onsite training if that’s what you’re after.
