In Western Australia, the Electricity (Licensing) Regulations 1991 provide that electrical contracting work may only be carried out by persons holding the appropriate electrical licence as issued by the Electrical Licensing Board.
CET provides approved courses that fulfils the Electrical Contractor Training Program and provides licensed electricians with the relevant training, skills and knowledge to complete a range of relevant electrical contracting work.
This can include:
Having a detailed understanding of relevant statutory and legislative requirements
Identifying and investigating electrical faults and hazards
Test electrical installation work according to regulatory requirements
Operate and manage large and small scopes of electrical contracting work

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) If you have undertaken previous training in the Electrical trade or any associated trades you may qualify for RPL. Please download and complete the Electrical-Contractors-Training-Program-RPL-Application.
Graduates will be issued with a Certificate of Completion. Application for licence issue should be made to Building and Energy: http://www.commerce.wa.gov.au/building-and-energy/electrical-licence (within twelve months of completing the mandatory course modules).
Please note, a resubmission of your assignment for WAE200 does not incur any cost. However, only one resubmission will be granted. If after a resubmission you have not been found satisfactory, you need to re-enrol.
