This nationally accredited course provides the specific training required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. It includes responding to an emergency situation, applying first aid procedures, communicating incident details appropriately and evaluation of the incident and personal performance once the incident is over. This course also provides the training to develop the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. It provides practical and theoretical training on how to recognise and response to an emergency situation, how to perform CPR, and communicate incident information to emergency services personnel and supervisory personnel in the workplace.
