This nationally accredited qualification provides competencies to select, assemble, set up and maintain simple equipment and systems to a prescribed routine certification of telecommunication cabling in buildings and premises. It includes the ACMA requirements for Open Cabler registration.
Graduates will be issued with the UEE20711 Certificate II in Data and Voice Communications. A Statement of Attainment will be issued for each Unit of Competency completed.
Graduates will be eligible to register with one or more of the following Cabler Registrars for recognition as an ACMA Open Cabler.

ACMA Open Criterion for Cabling Experience
As declared by the Australian Communications and Media Authority, candidates qualifying under competency standard requirements do not need to meet the cabling experience requirements as there is very low risk that a candidate who is formally assessed for competency under competency standard requirements would pass the assessment without having adequate experience.
