Terms and Conditions
The College of Electrical Training will use all information that is collected and provided by you for the purpose of your initial and continued enrolment and identification only. This information will not be provided to any third party, without your express permission.
Your password should be kept private and confidential at all times. The College of Electrical Training cannot be held responsible for any difficulties occurring through the disclosure of your password to another party.
Payment needs to be made first in order to secure your place within your chosen course at the College of Electrical Training. Your enrolment will not be accepted or processed until full payment has been received and verified.
The College of Electrical Training cannot guarantee that, on payment for a place in a course, that a place will be available. Should a place not be available following payment, the College of Electrical Training will refund all fees in accordance with its refund terms and conditions.

1. Declaration

1.1. By enrolling in a course or unit of competency, you confirm that:

1.1.1 All the information provided to us by you is true and correct,
-
1.1.2 You have read and understood our terms and conditions, our Policies and our learner Code of Conduct, and
-
1.1.3 You understand that it is your responsibility to ensure that all information provided to us is kept current, and any changes to those
details should be sent to us as soon as practicable.
1.1.4 Students and/or employers are requested to advise of any issues that would require any reasonable adjustment prior to enrolment.

2. Payment of Fees
-
2.1 All fees and associated costs must be paid in order to secure your place in your chosen course or unit of competency at the College of Electrical Training (“CET”). Your enrolment will not be accepted nor processed until full payment has been received and verified.

2.2 Allocation of a course place is based on the order of enrolment and CET cannot guarantee a place in your chosen course or unit of competency until your
enrolment has been paid for and accepted by CET.

2.3 Course dates, times and fees are subject to change, and CET will notify you as soon as practicable should a change occur.

2.4 Learners who are unable to provide proof of concession at the time of enrolment will be required to pay full fees, and may later claim a refund to adjust the tuition fees to that of a concession holder upon proof of their eligibility for a concession rate. All applications for a refund must be made prior to 20% of the course being
delivered.

3. Minors

3.1 All learners under the age of 18 years old at the time of enrolment must have a parent or legal guardian sign all documentation relating to enrolling in a course or unit of competency.

4. Intellectual Property
- 4.1 In this clause, intellectual property right means all present and future rights conferred by statute, common law or equity in or in relation to any copyright, trade-
- marks, designs, patents, circuit layouts, plant varieties, business and domain names, inventions and other results of intellectual activity in the industrial,
- commercial, scientific, literary or artistic fields.

4.2 CET owns all right, title and interest, including all intellectual property rights in any material CET produces upon its creation and you agree not to use any of
intellectual property other than in direct connection with the course or unit of competency being undertaken.
5. On-site Delivery

5.1 Where arrangements have been made to deliver a course or unit of competency on-site, all costs associated with
the delivery, including travel, flights, accommodation and meals, shall be payable in addition to the fees for the course and/or unit of competency.

6. REFUNDS/Cancellation – Post Trade and General Courses
-
CET understands that due to unforeseen circumstances it is sometimes necessary for a participant to cancel an enrolment in a course or unit of competency in
which they are enrolled.
6.1 All cancellations of enrolment must be made in writing to the relevant Administration Coordinator.

6.2. Refunds will be made on the following basis:

6.2.1 100% of the enrolment fee where cancellation is made in writing 8 or more days prior to the course/unit of competency commencing,
-
6.2.2 50% of the enrolment fee where cancellation is made in writing 2 to 7 days prior to the course/unit of competency commencing, or
-
6.2.3 Where cancellation is made in writing 1 day or less prior to the course/unit of competency commencing no refund shall be made.
6.2.4 No refunds shall be provided for fee for service courses once they have commenced.
6.3. Please note: Purchased text books and standards are non-refundable once they have left the premises.

7. Transfer – Post Trade and General Courses
7.1 All transfer requests for enrolments must be made in writing to the relevant Administration Coordinator.

7.2 CET does not charge a transfer fee, however please note that course availability (rescheduled) may be impacted.

8. Withdrawal for PUBLICLY FUNDED courses
-
8.1 In the event that you cannot attend part of your course or wish to withdraw from a pre-Apprenticeship or apprenticeship, you must submit a formal withdrawal
application form, available from the reception at each campus.

8.2 Where a formal withdrawal application is received before the census date (less than 20% of the duration of the course or unit of competency has been delivered),
you shall be entitled to a full refund of the applicable course fee and 50% of any resource fee paid.

8.3 Where a formal withdrawal application is received, or you are absent from or discontinue your course or unit of competency after the census date (more than 20%
of the duration of the course or unit of competency has been delivered), you will remain liable for the full cost of that course or unit of competency unless you
qualify for special circumstances (see the formal withdrawal application form for further details).

9.1 All persons enrolled in a course or unit of competence must comply with our Code of Conduct.
