Fees / Austudy
The College of Electrical Training attracts the same financial support from the State Government as any other Registered Training Organisation ensuring there is no cost disadvantage to employers or apprentices.
Fee reductions are available for apprentices who are able to provide an approved concession at enrolment.
Learners enrolled in full-time courses are eligible to apply for means-tested Department of Training and Workforce Development, Employment and Workplace Relations Allowances.
Applications for allowances can be made through Centrelink.
Fee Waiver
Fees may be waived for individual apprentices who are able to demonstrate that payment of fees would produce financial hardship.
The College Fee Waiver Policy covering “Financial Hardship” is in accordance with the WA Department of Training and Workforce Development guidelines.
All fees must be paid prior to course commencement. Below fees are determined by the WA Department of Training and Workforce Development:
FEES:
Non-concession learner $1.62 per nominal hour
Concession learner $0.48 per nominal hour
The maximum course fee for non-concession learners undertaking a targeted fee relief course in 2023 is $1,200. For concession learners and youth, the maximum course fee for undertaking a targeted fee relief course in 2023 is $400. These maximums apply per course in 2023.
For secondary school-aged persons not enrolled at school, the maximum course fee chargeable in 2023 is $420. The maximum is the total fee for all courses the learner is enrolled in.

The learner tuition fees are indicative only and are subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment.
Additional fees may apply such as learner service and resource fees.
Final capstone fees apply for licencing purposes.
