This nationally accredited qualification provides participants with the training, skills and knowledge to manufacture, fit, assemble, erect, operate, test, fault find, alter and repair electrical equipment; and includes electrical wiring work where that work is associated with assembling, maintaining, terminating or altering the wiring between electrical components within plant or machinery.

Delivery will be by way of a blended learning program, consisting of a mix of off-the-job face to face, on-line and on-the-job work experience.
The off-the-job program will consist of a blend of formal classroom presentation, group learning and self-study; supplemented by selective interactive web-based online learning.
Knowledge and skill development will be supported by review activities and skills development practices.

The UEE33020 qualification is typically delivered for 40 weeks per year over a period of four (4) years.

The UEE33020 Certificate III in Electrical Fitting is a comprehensive apprenticeship program that equips learners with specialised skills in electrical fitting, adhering to industry standards and safety regulations, preparing them for a career as an Electrical Fitter.
This program, designed for a duration of four years is for school-based or employment-based apprentices in Western Australia (WA), leading them towards a Electrician's Licence specifically endorsed for "Electrical Fitting Work Only".
The qualification focuses on competencies in manufacturing, fitting, assembling, operating, testing, fault finding, altering, and repairing electrical equipment. It includes electrical wiring work related to the assembly, maintenance, termination, or alteration of wiring in plant or machinery.
It includes a blended learning program with formal classroom presentations, group learning, self-study, and online learning, supplemented by on-the-job work experience. Assessment methods include formative assessments (review activities and skills development projects) and summative assessments (performance and knowledge evidence assessments). These are conducted in structured environments or directly in the workplace.
A training contract must be signed through an Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN) and registered with the WA Department of Training and Workforce Development – Apprenticeship Office. ‘On the job’ training must be provided by an employer holding a current WA Unrestricted Electrician’s Licence or a current WA Electrician’s Licence endorsed for Electrical Fitting work only.
CET provides enrolments throughout the year subject to apprentice numbers. Upon registration, employers can select from weekly day release, or two week block release training programs.
All core units of competency must be achieved and a combination of elective units of competency to achieve a total weighting of 240 points.
Fully enclosed shoes must be worn at all times in CET buildings. Safety boots/shoes must be worn when working in the workshop.
Learners will require the ability to carry out complex calculations quickly and accurately.

Graduates will be issued with a certificate and a record of results detailing the units of competency completed.
The CET Skills Recognition process benefits applicants who have undergone prior learning and recognises competencies obtained outside a formal educational or training environment, gained through life or work experience. Competencies currently held by applicants will be formally assessed against each applicable Unit of Competency and may be recognised regardless of how, when and where they were achieved. Skills
Recognition is an assessment process and a cost recovery charge will apply.
CET accepts and provides credit to learners for units of competency and/or modules (unless licensing or regulatory requirements prevent this) where these are evidenced by either AQF certification documentation issued by any other RTO or AQF authorised issuing organisation or an authenticated VET transcript issued by the Registrar.
